Legend has it that Goddess Vaishnavi, an incarnation of Goddess Durga, spent more than a lifetime here, worshipping Lord Vishnu and waiting for him to appear to her. Itineraries

Day 1

Arrival in Jammu and Transfer to Katra | A scenic town situated in the foothills of the Trikuta Mountains

Arrive at the Jammu Railway Station/ Airport where a representative will greet you and give a quick overview of the entire tour. You will be then transferred to the nearby town of Katra. On arrival in Katra, check in to the hotel and take some rest. The rest of the day is at leisure and you can also head out to explore local temples and market. Dinner & overnight stay at the hotel in Katra.

Day 2

Vaishno Mata Darshan | Connect with your Spiritual Self and Worship the Goddess at Length

After having a hearty breakfast, proceed towards the helipad in Katra. The base camp Katra is located at an altitude of 2500 feet above sea level; whereas Mata's Bhawan is located at 5200 feet. The visit to the holy shrine within the folds of Trikuta Mountain, via helicopter, is just the start of this ecstatic and thrilling journey. Once you reach the Sanji Chatt proceed for the darshan of Maa Vaishno Devi. In the evening return back to Katra taking the helicopter ride from the Sanji Chatt.

Day 3

Departure | End of Trip With a Bag Full of Life Time Memories

After having the delightful breakfast proceed to check out from the hotel. You will then be transferred from the hotel to the nearest Railway Station/ Airport for your onward journey.

It's safe to visit. Jammu, Ladakh & Kashmir has been doing well both in domestic and international tourism since last 10 (Ten) years.

Luxurious Hotels are available throughout the world, but houseboat accommodation in the beautiful Vale offers a unique and unforgettable experience so it is better to stay in a Houseboat in Kashmir.

Please Note During the summer months (MAY/JUNE/JULY), light woollens are required for Gulmarg, Pahalgam & Sonamarg and occasionally in Srinagar. Spring & autumn (MARCH/APRIL/AUGUST/SEPTUMBER/OCTUMBER) are cold and woollens are necessary. During winter (NOVEMBER/DECEMBER/JANUARY/FEBUARY), temperatures sometimes reach minus 10 deg C in Srinagar city and heavy woollens are required.

Gulmarg to Pahalgam : 147 Km/ 91 Miles.
Pahalgam to Jammu : 284 Km/ 176 Miles.
Jammu to Srinagar : 293 Km / 182 Miles.
Srinagar to Sonmarg : 79 Km/ 49 Miles.
Sonmarg to Gulmarg : 133 Km/ 83 Miles.
Pahalgam to Sonmarg : 171 Km/ 106 Miles.
Pahalgam to Gulmarg : 149 Km/ 92 Miles.

Snowfall generally starts at the end of November and continues till the month of March. Tourist can see the snow in Sonmarg even in summer, where snow remains throughout the year.

The month of April (spring season) is the best time to visit tulip garden when flowers are in full bloom.

Generally, cost of pony ride and skiing set starts from a few of hundreds to 2 – 3 thousands. Cost may vary according to time and type of the set and off course on your bargain capacity.

There are several important tourist destinations that you can think of visiting when in Ladakh. In the present scenario, there are no trains that move between the Jammu and Srinagar. However, Indian Railways is working on the plans and soon the service would become available, until then it is all the way road journey.
